Animal Shelter

What We Do - Animal Shelter / Administrative Office

Our 2 Acre shelter is a haven for sick, injured, abused, old, destitute, abandoned and completely helpless animals who find shelter here. Holding over 900 animals that require care and protection, this is neither a boarding kennel nor a puppy farm.

1. An Animal Shelter is not a suitable place to bring a healthy animal, particularly dogs capable of surviving on their own. Sterilisation and vaccination is the best option for such community animals. Indian Law allows them to live on the street if sterilized and vaccinated against Rabies.
2. All abandoned animals brought to the shelter need to be vaccinated before hand if possible to avoid catching disease.
3. When enquiring about an animal please remember that over 900 sick and injured or old aged animals reside here, and dozens of new come in every day. Unless you have specific questions about the animal and have requested this, such information is not provided over telephone for practical reasons.
4. Shelter volunteers are always welcome (subject to volunteer training / orientation)

Administrative Office
The Administrative Office is located in our two-acre animal shelter on Road Number 35 Jubilee Hills. It is the first building to left, second entrance, down steps through a pleasant courtyard waiting area. Our Administrative Manager is Mrs. Kumari. Working hours are between 9AM and 5PM, Monday through Saturday. Visitor tours can be conducted on request from Monday through Saturday from 2:30PM to 3:30PM. The Office is open only for emergencies, rescues and Clinic requirements on Sundays.
